Arei had been anticipating this day for a week now. He'd finally gotten into the region and found where he was supposed to go to get his starter. Hajime Lab. As Arei emerged from the forest trail that lead to the lab, his anticipation started to take over his body. It shuddered a few times; his head started to spin in many disorienting ways. He sat down on a rock for a few moments to let the spinning dissipate. The sounds around him soothed him, from the soft trickle of a creek in the forest, to the shiver of the leaves up above. He slowly got back up to his feet, only a few hundred yards before he was at the doorstep of the laboratory. Arei had always loved dark Pokemon, so he had his mind set on getting a dark Pokemon for his starter. He had seen the list already online, even though it may have been outdated. Murkrow was on the list, so he thought that would probably be his best bet. Murkrow was a cool Pokemon, so why not jump at the opportunity. He was not at the door of the laboratory. His palms were sweating, his forehead still spinning from the rush before. He raised his arm and knocked on the door a few times and stood back and waited for someone to answer the door. Hopefully this would go smoothly and quickly. He didn't want to have to stay the whole day here just to get one Pokemon from an old man.

Professor Kinkaze was in the lab, working on some research about how environment affected some pokemon. It seemed unlikely that anything could really do too much of a change, seeing that it wasn't much of a troubling fact. But it still made things interesting, seeing that Kinkaze knew it was a great way to learn about the different ways pokemon reacted. Kinkaze knew it would be a much more welcoming sight to be able to fully understand his Castform, too, seeing that some weather did affect her to varying degrees.
It took a moment before he realized what was happening, not really having been paying attention too well to who might have been at the door. It wasn't that hard to get side-tracked sometimes, but he felt that it was probably better if he didn't get too into things that wasn't for the best. With that, Kinkaze got up and went to the door. A smile was on his face, to easy to get into when a guest, maybe a possible trainer, came by to get a pokemon. Activity had gone down, but the last couple of days did bring in more as time went by. But that was one thing that he couldn't help but wonder if it would get better.
Once the door was open, the man in front of him was one of a kind, but he wasn't going to say much about what he looked like. It wasn't part of his nature to say anything rude when meeting someone new. He wouldn't want to be a bother to the young man, seeing that it was better to deal with things in more of a good natured feel. Kinkaze didn't think it was too bad that this was what people were like, let alone that some people had different views from what he had.
"Welcome! I'm Professor Kinkaze. I assume your here for you pokemon, right? Have any ideas as to what you want?"
With that, the professor stood back to let the young man in. It would be unwise to leave him outside, even if the day was still nice.

It didn't take long for the door to swing open and to see the professor greeting himself. <"Hi Professor. My name is Arei."> he introduced himself. <"Yes, I'm here for a starter Pokemon; and yes, I know what Pokemon I want. I'd like a Murkrow please!"> he requested of the professor. Hopefully he wouldn't strike as being rude that he already had a Pokemon in mind, but.. He stepped inside as the Professor invited him in. Hopefully this wouldn't take long.. he wanted to get out of the area quickly so he could find some new Pokemon; a storm was also rolling in, so..

A Murkrow, hmm, Professor Kinkaze thought. Haven't had one of those asked for in a while. It would be good to get one out of the lab again. He even had a couple choices that might actually be good for the young man to have.
And with that thought, Kinkaze went towards neon computer that was in the lab, looking between the choices for the right one. It wasn't one of the types of pokemon that were chosen, but its good to see that someone is interested in Murkrow. With that, two pokeballs appeared, Kinkaze catching them with ease. It would be good time find them homes, but it will take time, for he knew that.
Soon, both released a flashing red light, releasing its contents from inside.
{relaxed} The first Murkrow to appear shooks his feathers, looking up towards the new person in front of him. Simple as that, the pokemon gave a simple call out, flapping its wings to where it flew to the trainers shoulder. It settled down there, making himself comfortable there and tilted his head. The Murkrow seemed to be happy, easily pleased with the trainer.
{Serious} When this Murkrow appeared, he just stood in place, at the ready for anything to happen. It didn't appear as to take much for a change, doing what he could with just staying put and waiting for a decision to be made.
"Well, then. What shall it be?" the Professor asked. It would be quite a pleasure to see what was to come up with the choice for these two pokemon.

As the neon red faded from the room and condensed down into two figures, Arei instantly knew which one he wanted. The first one gave a greeting call and flew up to his shoulder. This was the keeper, he thought. The other one just waited, too serious for Arei's taste. Not that that's a bad thing, but just didn't fit in with Arei at the time. <"I'll take this one."> Arei said, gesturing to the Murkrow on his shoulder. It would be a great starter. Relaxed when needed, which will come in handy for hectic times. As he waited for the Professor to say some concluding words, he looked at the starter sheet again, making sure he made the right decision. Yup, that was a good one..
