Venturing Hajime.

Nick had arrived in the Erinuki region not so long ago. He was already eager to get his starter pokemon as he smiled lightly. Nick had traveled in the short time of arriving in the region to the town known as Hajime. It was a little local town that seemed to be the starting point for trainers.

Nick looked around the place and could see kids kicking balls around the place enjoying themselves, their parents watching them play with their friends and the aroma was nice. The town had a good vibe to it and it made it all the better to be Nick;s starting place of his journey.

Nick looked at his ring on his finger and remembered his times back at home and with Drayden. Nick's mind revolved around trying to become the pokemon master and then to try and succeed in becoming a gym leader. But that was ages away, now he had to focus on getting his starter first.

Nick looked at the buildings, most of them were all uniquely built houses with different adjustments to them individually. But one stuck out the most, it was at least two times larger then the rest and looked like a science station. But Nick knew exactly what it was, it was Hajime's Pokemon Lab.

Nick walked across the dirt like path he had been following previously until he arrived in front of the lab. Nick peeked through the window to see if anyone was actually there, but it was dark inside when Nick looked through the window. Nick thought it was worth knocking on the door. So he raised his hand and formed a fist and knocked on the door with his knuckles three times as he hoped someone would reply.

The Professor didn't want the day to ever end. He didn't want to get back to work tomorrow, and have to do things he didn't want to. He could do what he wanted right now, since it was almost the end of the day and nothing else was planned for him to do.
The Professor sat up from his chair to look up at the screen before him. He had been reading some things about a few peculiar types of Pokemon that had been spotted in the region supposedly. They seemed interesting enough, but definitely could have been conjured by a spiked mind.
Nilly and Lake were snuggling on the couch when three raps on the door caused the Professor to fall back out of his chair in a fright. He tumbled to the floor with a resounding thud. He rubbed his butt a few times, and got up, a little dazed. He walked over to the door, and turned the handle.
Before him stood a young man, who must be here for a starter Pokemon. Hopefully he could make this quick so he could go back to being lazy.
<"Hi there. I'm Professor Kinkaze, I'm the professor around these parts.."> he said, a yawn slipping out of his mouth. <"I would assume you're here for a starter Pokemon. Here's the list."> he said monotonously, pointing over to the wall where a laminated piece of paper was clipped to the wall.

Nick watched closely as the door opened and there was the Professor of the Erinuki region. His name was Professor Kinkaze, he had already assumed from just looking at him that he wanted to get a starter pokemon. Was this professor a mind reader, or had he just done this so many times that it was a routine. He showed Nick over to a laminated piece of paper that was clipped on the wall. It had all types of interesting pokemon that Nick was contemplating over.

The two pokemon that flicked his mind the most was Solosis and Golett. Both of their last evolutions were tough from what he had heard and he had seen pictures back home while he was reading books. He couldn't decide which one he wanted yet, that was quite a problem as he was also having a mental block. Nick wondered if the professor would be willing to show him both pokemon and he could decide from there. Then Nick said,

"Professor Kinkaze, May I please see Solosis and Golett if possible? I still don't know which of the two to take as my starter pokemon."

Nick was hoping the professor would say yes as he awaited an answer and tried to get a better thought on which of the two he should pick.

<"Of course you can see a few Pokemon!"> he responded, walking over to the PC in the back of the room. It's screen lit up as he touched it, swiping his finger over a few icons, and out popped two Poke Balls. He released each of the Pokemon into the laboratory, the red neon light filling the air for a few seconds.

The Solosis's eyes pop open from it's nap that it had been taking, and quickly hovered over to the kid and ran into him. It's outer bubble collapsed, squishing into the human and then popping off like a bouncy ball. It hovered back over a second time, more cautious, and took a place on the kid's shoulder, nuzzling it's bubble on the human's face.

Quirky Personality

The Pokemon stands up and immediately starts spinning in circles. It slowly walks around the room, not hitting anything with it's violently spinning arms, and makes it's way to the human. It stops it's strange little thing, and gives the human a hug. It picks up the human, sets him on his tummy, and sits on his back, gently.

<"So, which will you take?"> he asked the kid with Pokemon hugging and sitting on him.

Nick watched as the Professor fidgeted around with his PC before receiving two pokeballs. Out of them came a blob and a golem like pokemon. The blob had come over and bumped straight into Nick, but after that it was more cautious and placed itself on Nick's shoulder. Then the golem like pokemon started spinning in circles as it did some strange routine. Then he picked Nick up and sat on him.

Wow this was strange. Nick couldn't pick which one he wanted, it took him quite a while before he had made a decision. He picked what he thought was going to help him the most along his journey. The pokemon he had decided that the pokemon he wanted was Solosis. The Golett was funny and all and seemed to be a good pokemon. But Solosis had snatched him away by showing care. Then Nick said to the Professor,

"Well Professor. After long thought I have decided to pick Solosis. It was a very hard decision and I wish I could pick both if it was possible. Thank you for allowing me to have my first pokemon though."

Nick waited for the professor to answer him as he stood on the spot quiet happy.

The boy named Nick made his decision, to take Solosis with him. The professor simply obliged and handed the kid a Poke Ball. <"There you go! Take care of that Solosis!">
He turned around and fiddled with the drawers of his desk and pulled out a starter pack. He handed this also to the boy, saying <"This is a pack of some basic necessities you'll need along the way!">
<"Have a great journey!"> he said, waving goodbye to the boy.

Nick grabbed onto the pokeball the professor had given him, it was nice to have a professor this nice in the region. The professor also handed Nick a bag, it had basic necessities like Pokeballs, Oran berries and even a Cell Phone. Now it was time for Nick to start his journey as he said thanks to Professor Kinkaze and then headed for the door. Nick opened it up and walked outside. What a day to start his journey, sunny and not to hot or cold.
