She had only been in for a few days. Only a few day for her seemed like forever. Before she left, Roxanne and her sister had a teary farewell and her parents, well, were pretty quiet about her leaving. But at least they allowed her to leave or else she would've left like he did. Roxanne stopped and stared up at the partly cloudy sky with that thought, a shiver went through her. No she didn't have the guts that her brother did, she could never do what he did.
Roxanne then felt a tug at her sock, a small Larvitar stared at her with concern. A small smile came on her face. "It's ok. We better get the lab fast or else when I call father he'll get mad that I didn't get another pokemon." The Larvitar then smiled and nodded. Thinking about it she had never given that Larvitar a name, maybe she'll give it one when she receives her other pokemon.
Finally reaching the lab, both looked up in wonder. In Johto she had never seen the lab that was in New Bark Town, so this was a new sight for her to see. She slowly walked into the lab and looked around. "He... Hello?" She asked, hearing a slight echo. Roxie hunched her shoulders, shoving her hands into the pockets of her jacket, her blue eyes looked around in suspicion. "I'm here to pick up a pokemon." Roxanne said more quietly now, stopping in place. "I. Was just wondering if you had a Charmander." She gulped, twiddling her thumbs that were out of sight.

[classy=split] [/classy] [classy=roundbox] Days had been coming and going, the Professor helping those who stumbled upon the Laboratory. The days had slowly been getting cooler and more overcast with clouds. Breezes had been flowing over the area of the laboratory, sending chilling wind into the laboratory's open windows.
This was definitely a nice change from the dreaded heat that had ensued last week. The two love bird Pokemon still conducted themselves as usual, laying on the couch and floating around in the room with the occasional gust that would send them into the wall. They would just giggle when that happened, and continued to snuggle together in the air.
The Professor wished his life was easy as theirs.. but before he could daydream more about their simple life, a girl walked into the lab and was calling out for someone.
He got up out of his seat and started casually walking over to the door where the girl should be. Sure enough, there she stood, her face in a confused and awe-filled expression.
<"Hello there! My name is Professor Kinkaze, I'm the professor around this area."> he said, introducing himself to the girl. <"I heard you say you wanted a Pokemon? A Charmander in fact? I'll go get one."> he said, turning around on his heels and heading back in the direction from which he came.
He tapped the neon screen a few times, and out came a Poke Ball from the side. He released the Pokemon from it's Poke Ball, neon red light filling the room for a few seconds before a Pokemon took form on the ground.

The Charmander stood up from where he had been released from his Poke Ball, his tail igniting instantly. He came over to the girl, and gave her leg a nice big hug. He didn't want to let go, he didn't want to go back into that Poke Ball. All those bad memories of his past trainer flood into his head, and just hugs her leg harder.

<"Would you like to take him with you? He's gone through some rough times, he definitely could use a good loving."> he concluded.
Lake and Nilly caught a gust of wind and were swept away from where they were and bonked into the girl, giggling and giving the girl a kiss on the forehead before floating back to where they came from. [/classy] [/style] Kinkaze |

Roxie jumped slightly but looked to see that it was one of the professors. "Ah. Yes, sir, I did want a pokemon." A quick smile was on her face but disappeared. Raxanne leaned back on her heels waiting for Prof. Kinkaze to come back. She looked around, noticing two small pokemon floating around the office enjoying themselves. It must be nice to be a pokemon, free of most worries in this world.
She then looked to see that the professor had a pokeball, releasing the Charmander that was inside.The flame he released made her eyes widened up, it was impressive for such a small pokemon. The Charmander came and clenched her leg, which kind of shocked her, what if he was going to do something to her. But it only seemed to clench tighter as if he needed some kind of comfort.
Roxanne looked up at the professor who asked if she wanted him. Now knowing why he held on tightly, how could she refuse? Before the young girl could answer a breeze came through which brought both small pokemon over, both whom kissed her forehead before floating back. "Heh, yes I'll take him." She knelled down to the pokemon and patted the top of his head, feeling the intense warmth he gave off. "Thank you so much." Once more that rare smile flashed out.
